Understanding the IBKR transaction log
This article applies to the Interactive Brokers integration only
What is the transaction log?
The transaction log shows the status of trades import by date.
Import date: the date Sharesight sync your trade from Interactive Brokers
Broker: the name of the broker
Status: is either Successful or Unsuccessful
Details: A description of the status
Where can I access transaction log?
You can access it from:
- Go to Sharesight account
- Click on Settings tab
- Click Integrations
- Click Transaction log.
Transaction log status and description
| Status | Details | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Successful | No. of trades imported | One or more trades have been imported. Click view to see the transaction details. |
| Unsuccessful | No. of trade failed | One or more trades are not imported. |
| Unsuccessful | Token or query ID is invalid | Either the token or the query ID is incorrect. |
| Unsuccessful | No valid trades to import for (IBKR Account ID) | No trade made for the day. This is not an integration issue or error. |
| Unsuccessful | Token is expired | Your token needs renewing. Here's how. |
Token or query ID is invalid
Make sure both token and query ID (you can locate them in Connections page or go Account > Connections) match what is in your Interactive Brokers account.
In your IBKR account, go to:
- Performance & Reports
- Third Party Reports
- Third-Party Services (gear icon)
- Select Sharesight
- Save
- Copy paste Token & Query ID into Sharesight (Account > Connections > Edit connection)
