Sharesight product updates – April 2025
Last month I alluded to several initiatives taking up most of our focus. One of these is related to our cash account feature set. Previously you were only able to sync buy and sell transactions to a single nominated cash account, which is fairly restrictive for anyone with more than one broker.
Since late March, you can now assign a broker to their respective cash account in your portfolio and have all trading generate an accurate debit or credit in the correct account. To configure this feature, make sure you have at least one manual cash account set up in your portfolio and then visit the cash account tab under portfolio settings. This is just the first in a number of cash enhancements to be rolled out in the coming months. Find out more here.
Another one of the initiatives relates to a major overhaul of our dividend investor feature set. In what can only be described as a pretty turbulent world right now, we are working hard to ensure a renewed interest in dividend stocks will be supported by the necessary functionality in Sharesight. The first step is the rollout of a completely overhauled future income report. This first installment is already available to a small group of users and will be quickly introduced to additional customers in the coming weeks. As with our cash account enhancements, there will be multiple new functions introduced to this revamped report in the coming weeks.
The third initiative is the imminent release of an Apple login function, similar in nature to our google sign in. If you have an Apple account and would like to use this to log into Sharesight, you will be able to do so in the next week or so. Note: we only allow either a Google connection or an Apple connection to a single Sharesight account.
New functionality / enhancements

- Rolled out the initial revamped future income report, currently only available to a small group of users, but with access being given to more users in the next several weeks

- Expanded file support for two existing brokers.
You can check the support for your broker here.
