Sharesight product updates – June 2026

by Ben Clendon, Head of Product, Sharesight | Jun 16th 2026

Early in the month we launched a new Australian tax pack product, targeting potential customers with a need for our tax reporting feature set, but without all the other performance and analytical functions our main offering contains. As part of this work, we’ve made a number of improvements to the product that benefit all users, such as a rebuilt plans screen, a new tax portal screen (although this is for Australian customers only right now), notification badge on the Tasks tab and an overhaul of the process customers need to go through in order to get their ETF and trust payout components ready for tax time.

Moving forward, the annual tax components form, displayed for each trust-based holding (ETFs, managed funds and unit trusts) on the Australian taxable income report will be populated using the latest component data we have available, unless a user has already completed the annual tax form. All these changes, alongside our revamped Australian CGT report, should make tax reporting a far more streamlined experience this year.

We have also been making progress outside of Australia with the introduction of our first dedicated UK feature: UK-specific tax settings.
