Sharesight product updates – July 2026
This month saw us wrapping up our recent Australian tax initiative, with the roll out of a new (optional) CGT breakdown schedule on the Australian CGT report. This schedule provides additional support for users filing their tax return with the ATO directly and who have over $10,000 in gains or losses.
We also introduced several new notification style banners on both the tax portal and taxable income report for Australian customers. These notifications display if new pre-fill tax data is available for a holding or the annual tax statement for a holding (ETF, managed fund, unit trust) has not been completed.
Finally, we launched a major update to our cash reporting feature set that lets users set a different cash account to sync income payments for each broker and the ability to support more than one cash account per broker where the cash accounts are in a different currency.

New functionality / enhancements
- Introduced an optional CGT schedule breakdown view to the Australian CGT report; useful for anyone submitting their tax online with the ATO who has gains or losses over $10,000
- Rolled out a new banner on the Australian tax portal which appears when the selected financial year includes an annual statement update and where at least one trust holding still needs to be reviewed (available for the FY2025-26 year onwards)
- Updated the Australian taxable income report to display an inline notification when a holding requires review, or when pre-fill tax data has been made available
- Expanded the cash account feature set to allow for the syncing of income to a different account from trades and multi-currency syncing options for a single broker
- Display of the registry code for NZX listings (this has previously been available for ASX listings only)
- Introduced a new ‘Transfer out’ trade type that allows for a holding to be closed with an accurate representation of performance up until the transfer out date, while also ensuring that no CGT event is generated.
Broker import functionality
- Added support for two new trade confirmations and fourteen new trade files.
