Your complete portfolio performance: Product updates, October 2026

by Milly Brent, Business Analyst, Sharesight | Oct 28th 2026

We’ve had another busy month delivering features you asked for. We now calculate performance on cash accounts, our exposure report includes Australian fund underlying investment data, and we’ve made it faster to bulk import custom investment prices. We’ve also made a suite of improvements across our reports and made the new Australian unrealised Capital Gains Tax report available to everyone.

Performance on cash account

Sharesight now calculates performance on cash accounts, so you get a complete picture of how your portfolio is performing. Interest and fees count towards income gains/losses. Cash accounts in a currency other than your portfolio currency also show currency gains/losses, just like your other investments.

Because fees are included, you can now count portfolio-level fees (such as account management fees) in your overall portfolio performance. You’ve asked for this for a long time, and we’re very happy to deliver it.

To turn it on, go to Portfolio settings ➔ Cash accounts and select “Show cash account performance”. For new portfolios, the option is also on the setup screen.

Note: performance can only be calculated for cash accounts that maintain a positive balance for the selected date range.

Exposure report now includes Australian funds

We now provide the underlying investment composition data for Australian funds. The Exposure report already included the breakdown of investments inside your ETFs, and it now includes a breakdown of the investments inside your Australian funds too. It combines these underlying assets with the shares you hold directly, so you can see what you’re really exposed to.

This makes it easier to get a complete picture of the composition of your investments and spot overlap between your investments, and to see if you’re too heavily weighted towards a single stock, sector or country.

We plan to expand our dataset further in coming months to include underlying investment data for more of our supported funds beyond Australia.

Faster custom investment price imports

If you have multiple custom investments, you can now upload prices for all of them in one spreadsheet.

Go to Account ➔ Custom instruments and click “Bulk upload prices”. Then follow the instructions to upload a spreadsheet of instrument codes, dates and prices. You can still enter prices manually, or bulk upload for a single instrument.
