Australian investors’ top trades in June 2026

This month’s top trades were led by Vanguard’s Australian Shares Index ETF (ASX: VAS), followed by Vanguard’s MSCI Index International Shares ETF (ASX: VGS) and iShares’ S&P 500 ETF (ASX: IVV). This remains unchanged from the previous month. As for equities, the top trades were led by SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX), which completed its initial public offering on the Nasdaq in mid-June. The top trades were followed by NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA), which saw its share price plummet towards the end of the month.
NZ investors’ top trades in June 2026

This month’s top trades were led by the Smartshares US 500 ETF (NZX: USF), followed by Rocket Lab (NASDAQ: RKLB). This remains unchanged since the previous month. Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) rose from #8 in the previous month to #3 this month, with investors likely taking advantage of the stock’s prolonged slump since the beginning of the year. Compared to the previous month, one notable difference is the increase in buying activity. There is also a higher proportion of ETF trades, which explains why this month’s trading snapshot contains more buy trades compared to the previous month.
Global investors’ top trades in June 2026

This month’s top trades were led by SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX), which completed the largest-ever IPO, raising US$75 billion before underwriters exercised their overallotment. The top trades were followed by NVIDIA, Microsoft and Rocket Lab, which have been among the top 10 trades for the past six months. There was a high proportion of buy trades overall, with the exception of Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU), which hit an all-time high near the end of the month after a huge rally.
